Due to forces beyond our control all shows for the 4th and 5th of July at the Catherine hotel are canceled. We sincerely apologies for any inconvenience this late notice may cause. Please know that this is not our choice.If it was up to us we would be rocking the island in true INDEPENDENCE DAY fashion!

When an artist chooses to express their soul through a specific medium, it's like choosing a path that leads them into a world that they sculpted on their own. A living breathing example: a band hailing from a close-knit community in Ojai, California where everyone knows everyone. This small town is about sixty miles north of Hollywood, where being a big shot means nothing and it may only lead to trouble. Shades of Day is scheduled to play the West Beach Music Festival in September. This 3 day music and arts event will feature performances by Ziggy Marley, Natasha Bedingfeild, Jason Mraz, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and many more. Check the shows page for details.

This Saturday night the band will be out in Los Angeles performing at the Derby Club. There are free tix available to you. All you have to do is get a hold of us through email or myspace. More information at the shows page.

A very special show in Ventura is on the horizon. July 26th the band will be playing an outdoor stage in front of the historic Ventura City Hall building. It is a street party put together in partnership with Peace Through Music, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children by providing access to music education, music appreciation, and musical instruments. Headlining the show will be none other than Kevin Costner and Modern West!
